Working principle

1. Air enters the device by means of 2 fans located in its upper part: Dirty air enters the device through an opening located in the lower rear part of the device, which is protected by metal PREFILTERS , serving to capture solid particles with extremely high efficiency - easy to clean and reusable.   
2. Entering the special working sterile chamber for disinfection /made of stainless steel/, the dirty air is irradiated with a PHILIPS UV-C source with a power of 95 W.    

The camera is made individually for each device. Calculates, depending on the radiation strength generated by the UV-C source, the power and air flow rate required for UV-C (253.7 nm) to penetrate the microorganism's cell wall and for high-energy UV-C photons to be absorbed by cellular proteins and DNA/RNA.

In this process, UV-C damages the protein structure, causing disruption of metabolism. As a result, DNA/RNA is chemically altered, organisms CANNOT metabolize and reproduce, CANNOT cause disease. At this point, the device has disinfected.  

Disinfection up to 120 m3/hour is achieved. It is suitable for rooms with a volume of up to 120 cubic meters.

Construction

✓ PHILIPS UV-C units operating in the range of the UV light spectrum (253.7 nm): Illuminator made of special glass, filtering harmful ozone-forming (O3) radiation with a wavelength of 185 nm. OZONE-FREE guarantor of its safe operation in the presence of people and animals. The powerful UV-C sources used in Quantum Medical devices destroy all viruses, bacteria, molds and microorganisms by means of their radiation.    

✓ 2 powerful, silent and UV-C resistant fans: Through them, the air is introduced into the chamber where the disinfection takes place.

TiO2 filter

A TiO2 filter has been added , which through the photocatalysis obtained when it is irradiated with UV-C light with a wavelength of 253.7 nm., helps to improve the performance of the unit and radically improves the air quality by reducing odors and destroying microscopic particles that can lead to illness. 

Photocatalytic technology  is a step up from the air filters used to date because of its ability to attack molds, viruses and bacteria in the air and on surfaces.
